Your Word for This Day

Thursday, January 17, 2013

“No king is saved by the multitude of an army;
a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.”
Psalm 33: 16-17

The sun rose this morning. Check. You are alive. Check. Your body is functioning. Check. You have prayed and read your Bible. Check. You dressed yourself. Check. You had a balanced breakfast. Hopefully. Now you are ready to start your day and to face all that will come your way. Are you ready?

As you go through this day you will meet some challenges, they are a part of life. You may face a disgruntled employee, an upset parent, a rude child, a body ache, a financial issue, a disappointment in ministry, or even writer’s block. No matter what challenge you may face or what spiritual battle you may be engaged in, continue to hope in your God who will deliver you by His great strength. Challenges are overcome and battles won not by human strategy, wisdom or strength, they are won by God—His power and His might has given you the victory! Thank be to God who always causes you to triumph in Christ! Let your confidence in God arise today!

Declaration: “I declare that in Christ Jesus I am ready to face all that comes my way today. He fights for me and I am safe in Him. Jesus is my exceeding Strength and my Security.”
