“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them,
For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”
There is a universal principle that operates in every life on this planet: What you sow, you will reap. God has set this principle and it will not change. In Genesis 8:22, He says, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” Whether we like it or not, what is planted, will bear fruit.
In these latter days, as evil becomes more widespread, the love of many will grow cold and men and women will do what seems right in their own eyes, to the detriment of others. As wicked thoughts, words, and works are sown, evil fruit will appear. But, for those who are hidden in Christ, meditating on His word and walking in the Spirit, this is God’s word for you: Things will be well with the righteous, because they will eat the fruit of their doings—they will reap what they have sown. They will have the favour of the Lord encompassing them as a shield.
What are you sowing today? Are you sowing love, truth, the word of God, joyful service in the Kingdom? What is it that you want to reap? Let’s be careful with the seeds that we have in our hands, whatever shape they make come in. You hold the key to your future; choose what you do with it wisely. Sow good seeds and serve the Lord with gladness. In time to come, your fruit will blossom and God will be glorified.
