Your Word for This Day: God of all Comfort!

Friday, May 24, 2013

And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you… I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Isaiah 59:21 NLT

The people rebelled. They wandered far from God. Truth and righteousness were scarce in the land and corruption was the order of the day. Such was the state of Israel in Isaiah’s time.  Such is the state of many of our nations in this present day. Now, as then, God searches for a remnant of people who will stay true to Him, live in His Word and walk in His Spirit.

Are you part of this remnant? Are you part of the end-time people who will stand for righteousness at all costs? Will you forsake sin and pleasures of the flesh to follow Jesus with your whole heart? What will your answer be today my friend?

God promises never to leave His people comfortless. He will not take His Holy Spirit from you. Yes, we will mess up, we will make mistakes. We are not perfect. But, the blood of Jesus Christ makes us free from sin, shame and condemnation as we repent! That is a position of total liberation!

God has sent His Spirit to stay with you as journey through life. He will guide you, support you, encourage you, lead you and wrap you in His love continually. You can count on Him!

His Spirit and His word will not fail you. His Spirit and His word will not fail you! God paid a high price for your life and your future, and He protects His treasured possession. Depend on the Spirit of comfort today!
