Your Word for This Day: I’m saying “Yes!” Now what????

“Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”   And he said, “Here I am.””

 Genesis 22:1

Imagine if you have been praying for a house of your own and God says that the house will be yours. After years of waiting, you receive your house, debt free! You furnish and decorate it, and it becomes a safe haven, a place full of love and joy for your loved ones. Then one day, the Lord asks you give it away, with everything in it, as an offering to Him, and never look back!

God asked Abraham to sacrifice his promised son, Isaac.  Abraham’s future was wrapped up in that boy and God asked Him to give it away and to not look back. In saying “yes” to God’s call, Abraham said “yes” to placing his life—past, present and future in the hands of God.

And this, my friend, is what scares most people. If we are honest, we tend not to say “yes” to God, because we don’t know what He will ask of us. But, what God asks for, He always equips us to give.

Abraham said “yes” to God and followed through with his “yes”. If you have the smallest amount of faith to believe that God will do what He has promised, say “yes” to God today and ask the Holy Spirit to help you follow through with your “yes”, no matter what God asks of you. It’s always for your good anyway!

God has the bigger picture in His mind and knows exactly what it will take to get you to your expected destination. You can trust Him!
