“But [Jesus] answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
As you walk with God, in agreement with His will for your life, you will undoubtedly come across a Mr. I-will-sap-you-of-your-joy-in-serving-Christ, and a Miss You-don’t-deserve-to-be-that-happy. When you say “yes” to God— to becoming who you were born to be, people will have a problem with that. Why? Because your real enemy, the devil, is angry that you are being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
Step 1: Take Ownership of your “yes”
“God spoke to us and we said “yes” to Him. It is my “yes”; it is your “yes”. As with anything else that we own, we must not let anyone come and take it away. We must not let anyone come and talk us out of it.” —The Shift
Jesus said “Yes” to His destiny and was baptized by John the Baptist as a sign of His “Yes”. He went into the wilderness to fast and pray and Satan tried to mess with Jesus’ “yes”. But it didn’t work! Jesus declared the word of truth, and the enemy had no option but to retreat!
When the enemy comes up against you, declare God’s word concerning you and watch him flee! It doesn’t matter what the chief naysayer or his cohorts say, God has determined that it’s YOUR TIME AND SEASON FOR FAVOUR! So own your “yes” with every fiber of your being!
