“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
By: Apostle Diann J. Wilson
So many of us make plans. We decide how we want things done, and then we ask God to bless the plan and make it happen. That is doing things backwards my friend. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it”. Do you believe that?
We should first consult the Lord before planning, executing and finishing the said thing. God should not be an afterthought, but He must be our first consultant in our life—not our friends, spouse, counselor, pastor or any significant others. As important as they are, they are not more important than the One who made us and keeps us alive.
Are you making plans? Commit those plans to the Lord. Trust Him to lead you in the way that you should go to make those plans a reality. We know in part, but God knows everything, all at the same time; He knows how things are going to turn out. He is the best advisor, counselor, consultant and director that we could ever have to ensure our plans are successful.
Won’t you trust Him today with the work, the plans, the desires of your heart. Trust me, He has your best interest at heart and He will only do what is best for you. Yes my friend, commit it all to Him and watch Him bring it to pass.
