“…But I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
In Jesus Christ you have access. This sentence could be written by itself and you would have all of the empowerment that you would need for today and for every day to come. Boldly declare right now: “In Jesus Christ, I have access!”
In Christ, by the power of His blood, you have been granted access to all that He is and everything that He has. He gives to you His joy, peace, love, provision, protection and friendship. Friendship? Yes, that’s right…His friendship. Friendship with Jesus is available to all who abide in Him (who find their identity, security and worth in who He is) and allow His words to abide in them (they allow God’s truth to take up permanent residence within their heart and they do what He says).
Jesus calls us friends, because He lets us know God’s will. As friends, we not only get to enjoy God’s presence in an intimate way, but we also don’t have to ‘hit and miss’ in life. We can walk in divine purpose because we know what the Father’s will is. And in doing it, we are blessed and God is glorified.
Remember, in Christ you have access! You don’t have to feel hopeless, be discouraged or not know what to do. Jesus, your greatest friend is with you and He offers you all of Him today! Tell Him how you feel and receive from Him what you need. By His Spirit He will lead you where you need to be.
