Your Word for This Day: “I will Remain Loyal”

“For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Psalm 116: 8-9

Many stores have a customer loyalty program. Shoppers are given a card that allows them to accumulate points on their purchases. Companies offer these programs as an incentive for shopping at their stores and after a certain number of points, the customer’s loyalty is rewarded with a discount. Nice, huh?

There is not one store on this earth that can give us what we need, as Jesus has. Not one company that can provide for us what Jesus has. He has delivered you from death by dying in your place. He has carried you through difficult seasons in ways that you don’t even know. He has led you through the path of your life, when you didn’t even see Him there. He has made you victorious in battles you thought would have wiped you out! You are blessed in ways you can’t even imagine!

As children of God and citizens of His Kingdom, we are expected to be loyal to our Saviour. God doesn’t have to reward us for loving and serving Him, but He chooses to, and the rewards are so much better than any program out there! Who else can offer eternal life with the King of kings and Lord of lords? Will you stay true to the Lord and walk before Him all the days of your life? Will you remain faithful to Him in all that you say and do today? He deserves your loyalty. Nothing else compares to His love, mercy, and grace.
