Your Word for This Day: “Let Your Kingdom Come”

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Matthew 6:10

Jesus, the King of kings reigns! He is Lord of all, and His authority and power are forever. His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom! This is the King that is with you, even in you, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. You have a King in you. And, through you, His Kingdom will be seen. Isn’t that something!

The Kingdom of God is real and it is unlike anything in this world. Simply put, God’s Kingdom is the rule, reign and dominion of God. In our lives, the Kingdom is seen when we submit to God’s authority and obey His will.

Sadly, when we think of the heavenly kingdom, we think of fluffy clouds in the sky and rainbows in the meadow, but we tend not to think that we can live out the kingdom lifestyle of total obedience to God in our messy and imperfect lives on earth. How untrue! God would not ask something of us, that He has not first empowered us to do.

By the blood of Jesus Christ, within you there is the power to live the kingdom lifestyle right where you are. My prayer for you today is that you would let the Kingdom of God be seen in you and that His will would be done in your life as you surrender yourself to Him.  God is looking for willing vessels through which He can show Himself mighty and reveal His love and power, and a life that is lived in obedience to the will of God is a powerful tool in God’s hands in the advancement of His Kingdom on the earth.

“Let your kingdom come, Lord! Let your will be done on the earth, through me!”
