“…Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. ” Mark 11:23 NKLV

There was a man in the Bible whose name was Jabez, which meant “sorrow”.  His mother named him that because she bore him in sorrow. The Bible doesn’t say what the situation was, but the fact remains that bringing the child into the world was a sorrowful experience for her. Jabez grew up with everyone declaring sorrow over his life every time his name was called. But he didn’t receive it! Jabez cried out to God and God answered his prayer and blessed Him.

Now, many of us have grown up in some very disheartening situations where many negative words were spoken over our lives. These words were hurtful and damaging, like Jabez, you can rise above your own sorrowful situations and walk in the blessings of God. You can have victory over every mountain you face in life. How? The Lord Jesus says to speak to them.

The Lord Himself says to us that whosoever will believe that those things which he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Let us determine in our hearts today that as we pray we will believe His word and speak it over our situations and see the mountains be removed in Jesus name! There is power in your words!
