Your Word for This Day: “Do you Need an Answer?”

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

“So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying,  “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Genesis 41:16

Every day there are decisions to be made. Even now, you are faced with decisions—what to eat, which email to answer first, what response to give to that question, which invitation to accept. Life is filled with decisions. The great thing is that you don’t have to make your choice alone, the Holy Spirit is with you to help you to choose that which will bring glory to God and bring you closer to your destiny.

Pharaoh had a dilemma—he needed an answer and fast! Through a series of events, Joseph, the boy-sold-into-slavery-by-jealous-brothers-who-ended-up-in-prison-because-he-refused-to-compromise-his-integrity, was brought to him.   Joseph had a gift from God to interpret dreams and Pharaoh had a dream that needed interpreting—talk about a set up from God! Joseph knew that God was with him and that God had the answer that Pharaoh was looking for. He was confident in his God’s ability to hear and answer him. And God did answer!

The God of Joseph is the same God that is with you, even in you, today. Every answer that you are looking for can only be found in Him. Your human mind cannot come up with a real solution for what you are facing, only the wisdom of God can give you an answer of peace.  As  you pray today, pray confidently knowing that God hears you, knows what you need, and will give you your answer of peace!
