Your Word for This Day: True Energy

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.”

 Acts 16:25

My friend, how are you doing today? Feeling a little bit tired? Perhaps the weekend was a busy one and you are now feeling the effects. We all get tired at times, and the body needs its rest, but do you know that there is a proven solution to your weariness? And, it’s available to you today—and for free! Ready for it? The solution is prayer.

“Prayer? That’s the solution?” I guarantee it is. We tend to think of prayer as a time when we ask God for things, but do you know that through prayer you can also be spiritually energized? When we declare the Word of God; when we affirm our faith in He who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can think or ask; when we recall to mind His goodness, something happens on the inside.

Paul and Silas were beaten with many stripes and thrown into prison. They were tired—from their journey and from their punishment. But, as they prayed and sang hymns they were energized in their spirit. Not only did the Lord cause an earthquake to open the prison doors, but He also empowered them to preach the gospel of salvation and a whole family was saved and baptized! If you call upon the Lord today, He will strengthen you. You have a divine purpose to accomplish and no one can pursue destiny without the Holy Spirit. He is your true energy source… will you tap in?
