“…Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”
“One step at a time. One minute at a time. One day at a time. One life at a time.”
There is a race set before you, it’s called life. You have been given a purpose to accomplish, and a there is a prize to attain: eternal life with Jesus Christ. No race is accomplished by one giant leap, every race is made up of steps—continuous, determined steps that lead toward the finish line, and each step is taken one at a time. We must take one step at a time.
This is the Lord’s reminder to you today. He is with you. As you trust Him and allow Him to train you, He will show you how to run this race well and He will build within you an endurance to finish strong. Failure is not an option. Turning back is not a choice. You must keep going forward. You may stumble, get tired, and maybe even trip and fall, but don’t give up, don’t get off the course—keep going forward.
Hear the crowd of heavenly witnesses who have run the race and made it, cheering you on. And look up, your Saviour and big brother Jesus is at the finish line, waiting to give you your reward. Keep looking at Him. Keep your eyes on the Prize. Be encouraged today. You will make it.
We’re praying for you.
