Your Word for This Day: Receive with Faith!

Thursday, November 21, 2013

“And those are they that were sown upon the good ground; such as hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:20 ASV

When you woke up this morning, you may have had some things on your mind. Problems that need solutions, shopping lists to create, appointments to make, bills to pay. Truly, there is a lot to think about. As you face this day, let me share this with you: everything that you need is in God’s word. The wisdom, the remedy, the strategy for success, it’s all in the word!

In a parable, Jesus taught that the word of God is like a seed. It is sown into the hearts of men, but it does not bear fruit in every heart because it is not received with faith and acted upon. Just as in the physical, the condition of the soil a seed is sown in makes a big difference as to the type of harvest that will come.

I’m sure that you will agree, we need the harvest – the abundant fruit of the word in our lives: prosperity, wholeness, peace, joy, innovative ideas, and more. So, let your heart be full of faith.

Today, find out what God says about your situation and receive that word with faith.  If you would accept it and do what it says, you will see God work all things out for you. This is the strategy for victorious living. The word of God received with faith always brings a harvest!

I encourage you to take a moment today to read this parable found in Mark 4:1-20 and you will learn so much about the things that can hinder you from walking in the victory of the word. We must be positioned to prosper.
