Your Word for This Day: “I’ve Got Joy!”

 Tuesday, March 25, 2014

“Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”        Nehemiah 8:10c NLT

“I’ve got a joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay. And I am happy, so very happy for I’ve got the love of Jesus in my heart.”

Is that your declaration for today? Are you rejoicing in the Lord? Are you thankful for His love and mercy towards you? Is there a song in your heart? If not, let me encourage you to rejoice in the Lord today. In Jesus Christ you will find fullness of joy and that joy is your strength.

Sometimes the cares of this world can weigh so much on our shoulders; we may have bills to pay, food to cook, children to take care of, school work to study, co-workers to deal with and the list goes on and on. You may have many responsibilities that can really drain the energy from you, but cast your burdens and cares unto Jesus. The truth is…you will never be strong enough to carry them. But thanks be to God, you don’t have to! Don’t let cares weigh you down, release them to Jesus and rejoice in His ability to take care of you.

Today, look to Jesus and live! The same way a vehicle needs to go to the gas-station for a fill-up, you need to connect with God through His word and you will receive all that you need to live each moment of this day. Don’t be sad and dejected, the joy of the Lord is your strength for this moment. So smile, be thankful and celebrate life in Christ and you will be strengthened to run towards your destiny!

“I’ve got a joy, joy, joy down in my heart to stay!”
