live-together-with-the-word  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”  John 15:7

By: Marcia Boxill

God is true to His word. Every promise that He has made to you He has already fulfilled through His Son Jesus Christ. As a follower of Christ, you are truly blessed and you have access to everything that you need to live this life victoriously!

God says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you…” To abide means to stay, rest, inhabit, remain. What God is asking of each one of us is to stay in Him. How do we stay in God? Well, we stay in His word! How do we stay in His word? We read it, believe it, meditate on it, confess it, and hide it in our hearts.

God and His word are one. If you stay in the word, the word will stay in you. Then God will manifest His word, His very power, in you and your life will be transformed. This transformation enables you to ask the right things of God—the things He desires of you to ask, and receive them. God cannot deny Himself. He remains true to His word.

I encourage you to today to abide (stay, live, dwell) in Christ—in His Word, and let His word abide (dwell, take root, remain) in you. Take a hold of His words, they are words of eternal life that will not pass away.

Live in the Word. Don’t delay, start today! God has made you a promise that if you abide in Him and His words abide in you, you can ask whatever you desire and He will do it for you, and He will keep it! God’s word is good.
