“ Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
By: Michelle Jeremie
Did you know that the average adult takes between 12 and 20 breaths per minute? Without thinking, we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide all day, all night, every day that we live.
Breathing is a normal process of life—if we want to stop breathing, if even for a moment, we have to think about it and force our lungs to stop doing what they were designed to do.
Let’s experiment. Go, ahead…hold your breath. See if you can make it to 10 secs. A little difficult isn’t it?
Today, be AWAKENED to the reality that prayer is absolutely vital for life. Just as important as breathing is, so should prayer be in the life of a believer.
Simply stated, prayer is a conversation. You talk to God, then give Him an opportunity to talk back to you. You share what’s on your heart, then God shares what’s on His. Whether through a Scripture verse, a song or a still small voice, He will speak.
It is important that we communicate with our Creator, not just when we go to church, but at all times. You can speak to God every where. It is God’s will that we allow Him to invade the moments of our life, so that He can breathe into them and make them count!
Have you spoken to Him today? Remember, it is Prayer!
