Your Word for This Day: “Power to Shout!”

 Thursday, August 14, 2014

When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it.  Joshua 6:20 NLT

Perhaps, it makes you a little uncomfortable.

Maybe, you think that it’s just too much.

It’s possible that others will look at you funny.

But, does it matter how it looks or sounds?

Today, God wants you to shout. Shout, for He has given you the victory.

God had promised the land to the Israelites. It was theirs. Yet, God allowed for it to be inhabited by others. When it was the set time for the Israelites to possess it, God gave them a strategy. They would march around Jericho, the strong city, for seven days and on the last day, they would march around seven times, blow the trumpets and shout as loud as they could. They obeyed and the walls came crashing down.

Know this today, within you is the Power to shout.

You do not shout for the victory, you shout because you have the victory in Jesus Christ.

No walls, whether stone, iron, or cement, can keep you out of your “land”. You will receive all that God has promised to you. God has said it and that settles it. Believe and obey God’s Word.

You can get happy about it and shout. Victory is yours!

Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!  Psalm 47:1  NLT
