The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me…  To proclaim liberty to the captives,  And recovery of sight to the blind.”  Luke 4:18

A young man who had been recently released from jail, made an insightful comment: “Although I’m now on the outside, I have to take prison out of me.” He was no longer incarcerated, yet, he continued to live as if he were. He realized that things needed to change inwardly if he were to live a fulfilled life, and if he didn’t want to end up back in a 6 x 8 cell. His old mindset needed to be broken. He had to embrace his freedom and recover his vision.

There is freedom in Jesus Christ.

He is the only Person who can give total freedom to every person who is bound. He gives liberty to the captives – those who are slaves to sin and living in mental prisons. His freedom is so total and so complete, that even if you are in a confined place physically, you can be free inwardly, and that makes all the difference! A liberated person’s spirit can not be broken, neither can his hope die.

And, not only will Christ give you freedom, but He will also help you to recover your sight as your mind is transformed by His Word.

You have the Power of the Holy Ghost inside of you! You who have placed your faith in Jesus have been released from the power of sin and are now empowered to live free and to see life again. You are anointed by the Holy Spirit to proclaim this freedom to others and to help show them the way. Go ahead, it’s time for us to live liberated!
