“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-9
IDENTITY FACT: I AM SAVED BY GRACE.
Around this time of the year, gifts are on so many minds—children and adults alike!
For some of us, we spend time looking for that extra special gift that we hope will be what our loved one was wishing for. And, when you see your gift bring a smile on that person’s face, it makes it all worth while.
Can you imagine how our heavenly Father feels when we are saved?
Salvation is a gift. It is His gift to us. It is not a reward for good behavior.
We don’t deserve it and we will never be able to say “I earned it”.
God chose to give us this gift, and what a gift it is! Salvation is our key back into relationship with God.
Our sins have been forgiven, Jesus Christ’s righteousness has been ascribed to us and we have returned to the place of authority and dominion He had in mind when He created mankind.
God gave us this gift wrapped in His Son and thousands of years later, we are still enjoying it.
You are saved by grace. It is God’s gift to you!
Enjoy God’s gift and live in the knowledge of who you are!
