“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it .” Luke 14:28
Imagine that you are a budding fashion designer.
You desire to go to Paris for the upcoming Fashion Week and mingle with the Who’s who of the Fashion Industry, hoping to get inspiration for your next line. So, you wake up in the morning, go to the Subway station (you live in New York city) and ask the conductor for a one way ticket to Sydney, Australia.
Ridiculous, isn’t it? No one in their right mind would do this.
Your planned destination doesn’t match up with your intended goal, and your method of transport just doesn’t make sense.
This may be an exaggerated example, but sadly, many people do live this way. Making all sorts of uninformed decisions, when the information is available, hoping to hit the jackpot.
Do you have an idea of what you were born to do, but not sure how to get there? Have you made a plan for this year, but are unsure of what the cost will be?
Preparation is a major part of being living intentionally.
Have you studied the lives of those who have gone where you hope to go?
Have you read books or listened to talks that will help you with your next steps?
Have you shared you goals with anyone?
You must invest time in preparing for your destiny.
Know what is required, know the setbacks and set your mind to run after it!
