“Don’t Live, Be A.L.I.V.E. in 2015”
In the children’s story, Snow White, the evil Queen possessed a magical mirror that spoke to her. Every day, the evil Queen said to it, “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” And it replied, “You are.” She may have been the most beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, evil was a-brewing!
That’s how we were before Christ came into our hearts. We were narcissists, liars, gossipers, cheaters, you name it! But, in meeting Jesus, we have a new image to conform to, His image, and we learn to love, serve, and share like He did.
A: Are you Actively Engaged in your process of change?
In the process of becoming what God has called you to be, you must be actively engaged—this includes “seeing me as I truly am”.
We do not have magical mirrors, but we do have the Mirror of the Word that we look into, to see how we are coming along.
It’s about so much more than what we look like on the outside. It’s about our hearts, our thoughts and our attitudes.
When we look in to the Word, how does our reflection line up with that of Jesus?
Tip: The measuring stick for change is always the Word. Spend time in it daily.
