“…Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:13b-14
Many mornings, I wake up with this prayer on my lips, “Lord, thank you for today. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn’t promised, but I have this day to…”
Whether it’s to pursue a goal, write a song, or do whatever else is on my heart, I am grateful for an opportunity to do it and I try to max it out.
The word for this year is INTENTIONAL. If we desire to live a joy-full, purpose-driven, God-glorifying life, we must make the decision to live on purpose… with intention, with deliberate actions. This is more than making resolutions in January. This is about making permanent changes to better our lives, and help us to add value to those whom we do life with.
Being intentional begins with placing value on your life. You were made in the image and likeness of God. He has invested skills, abilities and talents –hidden treasures, if you may– in you waiting to be discovered and served.
He has sent His Son to die on a cross, so that your sins can be forgiven and you can live your true life.
God wants you to know that you matter! The truth is, time is not guaranteed for anyone. We don’t want to miss out on the timing of our lives.
You have one life to live, so I ask you today, how will you live it?
