“Turn away from evil and do good.Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” Psalm 34:14
As we continue to violently pursue our God-given destiny we would encounter all different types of challenges and distractions. The enemy of our soul does not want us to apprehend what God has divinely assigned to us, and so, He would deploy all manner of strategies and plots to derail us. One of his most powerful weapon is confusion.
The enemy causes us to be confused in our thoughts, in our actions and even in our attitudes. Where there is confusion there is no peace.
The Apostle Paul highlighted this confusion in himself when he wrote: “For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do–this I keep on doing”. (Romans 7:19)
Can you identify with that statement? Of course, we all can.
However, he ended the discourse by giving thanks to God who delivers us through Jesus Christ our Lord.(v 25)
Today, we have the same assurance. We can live a life of peace. We can do good and turn from evil by submitting to God and accepting the help of the Holy Spirit. As we seek to live at peace with ourselves and then with those around us we are keeping ourselves ALIVE and pursuing our destiny.
Yes, my friend. We have the ability to live a life free from confusion. We have the enablement of the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Peace. He lives on the inside of us, and so, we are totally equip to seek peace, to pursue peace, to take a hold of peace and to live a life of peace.
As we continue our journey to pursue our God-given destiny let us remember that the peace of God that passes all understanding will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. There is no confusion in Christ.
Today. make the decision to turn from evil and do good to yourself and to all who come your way. Seek the Prince of Peace and allow Him to dwell richly in your heart. Refuse to be confused and let peace reign in your life.
