Your Word for This Day: “Time to Laugh”

Thursday, April 23, 2015

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven… A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1,4

Our great God, who established the Universe, also established times and seasons.  He, in His infinite wisdom, ensured that nothing lasts forever. We can all say thank God for that, especially when we are going through challenging situations and can’t wait for them to end.

We must be wise to understand the times and seasons of our lives and live accordingly.

If we miss the season of laughter and dancing, then when the season of weeping and mourning comes, we would not be prepared for it.  You see, God gives us times of rejoicing and celebrating so that we could be strengthened and refreshed for the next season.

This is your season of laughter and dancing.

Hear what He is saying to you now:

“I want you to laugh, I want you to sing.

I want you to rejoice in your God and King.

I want you to leap and dance for joy.

I want you to proclaim that I am your Lord.

Stop for a moment and praise My name.

Thank Me for My love and goodness which are forever the same.

Know that your God is looking out for you,

And that nothing the enemy does will overtake you.

Rest in your God, abide in My love,

Look up and see the heavenly Dove.

All of the angels are rooting for you,

They have been ordered to help and see you through.

This is your season, this is your time,

Let joy and laughter arise in your heart.

Stop looking at the battles and calling them fierce,

You are protected by the King,

Your protection can’t be pierced.”
