Your Word for This Day: “Giving of Yourself”

“Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.” Romans 13:8

free to love

So many times we expect to receive from others what we are not willing to give ourselves.  The myth that many people believe is that they are owed something instead of realizing that they owe a debt that they should be paying every day of their lives.

What do we owe?  We owe love.

The Bible is clear when it states that we should owe no man anything but to love him.

Loving is giving.  Giving is loving.

God so loved that He gave.  He gave of Himself.

What have you given today?  How did you pay your debt of love today?

This is so easy to do.  We could pay our debt of love by giving kind words, a smile, a hug, good advice, a word of encouragement, a compliment, or even our presence.

There are so many ways to make this world a better place one minute at a time and one person at a time.

Don’t believe the lies of the enemy and feel that you must receive before you give.  That is not what God says.  He says to give first and you shall receive in return.  I am sure that you have experienced giving a smile and receiving a smile in return.  It is that simple.

Today, right now. Begin giving.  Begin paying the debt that you owe.  Begin loving right where you are.

The road to peace, joy and contentment begins right where you are and it begins now.  Start today.  Do your best right now. Begin to give.

Engage every part of you in this journey of giving and loving and as you do that you will begin immediately to reap the benefits and I guarantee you that your life would improve drastically in every area.  You will be amazed at the power of giving and loving.

Blessings,
