All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

This life in Christ is about learning, growing and changing. It’s exciting!

In Him, we have become new creatures, and by His Spirit, we are being daily transformed into His image – dropping off bad attitudes, being healed from old hurts, releasing bitterness and resentment, exposing selfish ways, challenging destructive thought patterns and confronting impure motives of the heart. We are being changed so that the light of Jesus can shine brightly through us and His love will touch those that we meet.

This process of change is possible because of the Word of God. God has given us His Word to teach us how to be ALIVE!

Every time we open the Bible, and invite the Holy Spirit to teach us, we learn something new. We see more of who God is and who we are in Him.

If we don’t read the word, we won’t be changed. Other books, seminars, cds, and even sermons will help us in our journey of becoming like Christ, but they should never take the place of the Scriptures in our lives.

Our lives must be “Scripture in action.”

The Scripture is to be read, meditated on, studied and then applied! The Scriptures only work in your life, when you work them. Meaning—when you know, believe and apply them.

God uses His word to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

Many of us pray for God to use us to make a positive difference in this world, and that prayer He desires to answer in and through our lives, but He will not negate His own principles. As we are changed by the word, we are able to be the difference we wish to see in the world. We are equipped to represent Jesus Christ accurately and to share His love with others.

To grow, you must learn. To change, you must apply what you have learned.

There is joy in learning. Open the Word of God and let it change you from glory to glory!

Blessings,

Michelle
