stirup

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:6-7

“My beloved son, let me remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.”

Such was the instruction that the Apostle Paul sent to his young protégé Timothy. Timothy had received the gift of God, but it was up to him to stir it up, to fan into flames that which God had deposited within him.

This encouragement is for all believers. We have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit and we must partner with Him to live this life victoriously.

The Holy Spirit is like electricity to a light bulb and current to an appliance. Nothing works without Him. Without the Holy Spirit vibrantly engaged in our lives through continuous fellowship with Him, we will achieve nothing. He comes with everything that we need to activate that which is within us (our abilities, skills, and talents, etc.).

My friend, God has not given you a spirit of fear. He has given you the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of faith! This means that we are not to live our lives as slaves to fear. When fear  takes over, it leads our actions, guides our thoughts and frames our words and it blocks the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

Today’s key for breakthrough: Confront your fears!

We experience different fears, like the

  • fear of failure,
  • fear of rejection,
  • fear of death,
  • fear of being different
  • fear of being alone.

This process of change involves confronting our fears, one by one, so that we can walk in the realms of faith and see the manifestation of God’s promises in our lives.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you today. It’s not easy to confront our fears, but we have divine help and God’s grace to do so.

Don’t you think that it’s time to access your kingly inheritance of a life of power, love and soundness of mind?

I trust that your answer is a resounding “yes”! It’s your birthright as a child of God! Don’t settle for anything less!

God’s richest blessings,

Michelle
