Your Word for This Day: “One of a Kind!”

Thursday, July 23, 2015

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous— how well I know it. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139: 13-14, 16

š›When was the last time you looked in a mirror AND appreciated what you saw? The person looking back at you is a divine masterpiece, handcrafted by the Father above with great care and precision.

Nothing about you is an accident or mistake, you have been carefully and purposefully designed.

Yes, you have been through some things, made some mistakes and changed over the years, but that only adds to the uniqueness and wonder of you! God has made you wonderfully complex, inside and out. Your blood vessels, organs, muscles and tissues work together in great harmony to ensure that you function effectively, and your eye colour, ear size, nose shape and hair texture join to make a one-of-a-kind combination that is your beauty.

Not only are your anatomy and physical features wonderfully complex, but your life’s journey is also distinct. The steps you will take to fulfill your God-given purpose cannot be duplicated. Everything you have been through and will go through will be your story, and no one will be able to tell it like you.

Today is the day to celebrate God, the Master Creator, and to celebrate you, His divine creation. Do you know that you are a Designer’s original?

Come on, I dare you…go look in that mirror and give God thanks.
