Your Word for This Day: “Are you Resting?”

October 29, 2015

rest-in-the-lord

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:5-6 NIV

Today’s Destiny Word: REST

In the pursuit of your destiny, there is much activity.

As you work towards becoming all that God has called you to be there will be a lot of moving, building, planning, preparing, studying, meeting, connecting, creating, thinking, speaking, DOING.

This is a reminder today that in the midst of it all, please REST.

Rest in the Lord.

Let your hope and expectation be in HIM alone. Don’t place your hope in others, governments or even the stock market. They were never meant to carry your hope. Only God is forever reliable, always constant, completely faithful and in total control.

Let your soul hope in Him.  God has chosen to show the world how great He is and the mighty things that He can do through the lives of those who would hope and trust in Him. He wants to show off His glory, majesty and unconditional love through you!

As you journey, fill your heart and mind with the greatness of your God. Stay in His word and meditate on it. His word will activate your potential and cause your faith to increase.

And, while we are on this topic, please don’t forget to rest physically. Sleep, relax, do something you enjoy, visit a friend, watch a good movie, read a good book. Takes some time off of your busy schedule to let your body regroup.

Remember, you are in it to win it. Your mind and body need to be operating at its best and rest is important for optimum function.

This is your life journey and your life has a rhythm to it. Seek to discover it and flow in it.

Resting will actually help you to be more productive.  It will keep you from becoming frazzled.

My friend, let your soul rest in God and allow Him to keep you grounded so that you will not be shaken and topple in the midst of much activity.

Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you as you go. You can get so much done when you are are being led by the Holy Spirit. He will keep you in your journey with every wonderful-awesome-challenging-nerve wracking- butterflies in your stomach- tears in your pillow- moment that you face.

You will make it and you will finish strong.

Blessings, Michelle
