“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Jesus is rest. The month of December is always the busiest for many. The holiday parties, the shopping, the house cleaning and decorating, along with the normal activities of life. This can produce a sense of anxiety and cause many to feel overwhelmed and out of control.
My friend, let me remind you that Jesus is rest.
He said, “Come unto me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest”.
Jesus is why we celebrate in December. Therefore, this should be the most restful season of all. Because we are celebrating the One who gives us rest, we must be at rest.
Don’t allow the world to control you. Let the Word control you.
Rejoice that our King is born! Rejoice that He came to save us! Forget what the world says. Don’t worry if you can’t buy the most expensive gift. The best gift of all is love. Give the gift of love. You will be amazed at the results.
Your children don’t need another thing – they may want it, but not need it. What they need is you and your love for them.
Today, remember that Jesus is rest.
Enter into the rest of the Lord, so that you can really enjoy the gift of Christ this year.
Blessings, Diann J. Wilson
