Your Word for This Day: “Jesus is… Comfort”

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts… 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17a

Amidst all of the activities and celebrations there are those among us who are very sad and despondent. They have no money and are all alone, although there are people around them. You, too, may be feeling down and desolate and think that nobody cares. Let me remind you that Jesus is your comfort.

He understands everything that you are going through. He sees your tears and know your thoughts even before you think them. Others may not be able to identify with your situation, but He can. He is the God of all comfort.

Whatever it is, however it is, wherever it is, remember that you are not alone. The God of all comfort is with you. He promised never to leave you or forsake you.

Jesus is comfort.

Just call on His name. He will come right away. It won’t be long before He turns things around. That is just what He will do. He will come through for you. Why because He is comfort.

Every pain you may bear, He is able to share. Every tear you have cried He collected and hides. Yes, my friend, today and every day remember that your comforter is not far away.

Jesus is comfort.

Don’t let life beat you down. Look up and forward. Your best days are ahead. This is not the time to give up and let go   It’s time to stand up on the word. What God says, He will do. Depend on Him to take care of you.

Rest assured that Jesus is your comfort.

To your comfort!

Blessings, Diann J. Wilson
