Your Word for This Day: Jesus is… the Son of God

Tuesday, December 29, 2015

“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35

Through the ages there have been many great men. Men of wisdom and influence who have made great impact on our world. But, none have come close to Jesus of Nazareth.
He was more than just a great teacher, a worker of miracles and a selfless human being. He was more than just a man… He is the Son of God.

For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son. He gave to the world the best of Himself – His Son, to lead us to everlasting life.

And for all who would believe on Him and receive Him for who He really is, to them God has given power to become sons of God. In Christ, we are adopted into the family of God, given a new nature and become joint-heirs with Christ.

This is amazing! You, my friend, are part of the family of God and with this honour comes great privilege. Through Jesus, you have legal rights to a divine inheritance.

This means that everything that you need today, right at this minute, whether it be healing, deliverance, provision, wisdom, joy, peace, confidence, grace, comfort or strength, is already provided for. You have access to God and all of His treasures through His Son.

I encourage you to take some time today to think about what it is to be a part of God’s family. See the dimension of life that is open to you through Jesus, God’s Son. Come up higher!
Here are some Scriptures that you can begin with:

  • Romans 8:16-17
  • John 1:12
  • 1 Peter 1:4
  • Ephesians 1:13-14; 2:19-22

May the truth of God’s word continue to transform your life!

Have a blessed, Spirit-led and productive day!
Michelle
