Your Word for This Day: “Jesus is…King!”

Wednesday, December 30, 2015

“He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1: 32-33

Today we celebrate the Majesty of Jesus the Christ – the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

He is…

The One who reigns forever.
The One who is sovereign over creation.
The One who rules with perfect justice and equity.
The One who is the highest authority.
The One whose kingdom knows no end.
The One who has the final say.
The One who has defeated the enemy of our souls.
The One who has given us the victory!

Jesus is King.

And, the Spirit of this King lives in you!

You are not just an ordinary person, living an ordinary life. On the contrary! With Christ in you, you have become royalty. You have become a citizen of the Kingdom of God, and receive all of its benefits. You have received a new identity and a rich legacy. You are part of God’s special people and He has great plans to use you to touch and impact lives for His glory!

Jesus is King.
