Your Word for This Day: “A NEW Journey!”

Friday, January 15, 2016

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Whenever we plan to go on a journey we are very mindful of the necessities that we must have to ensure that we are well equipped for a successful journey. We are also very much aware that there would be incidents, stops, delays and sometimes even accidents along the way. However, come what may, we are very determined to finish the journey.

We have just begun the journey of 2016. Have we packed our necessities?

“What are they?” you may ask.

Here are some things that we will need for this journey:

  • A container of faith (size doesn’t matter)
  • A box of hope
  • A lot of prayer
  • A book of the word
  • A bottle of vision
  • A bag of forgiveness
  • A few optimistic friends
  • Some courage and determination

Remember that you are not traveling alone. Goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6) are on either side of you. The Lord Jesus has gone before you and the Holy Spirit is inside of you.

Without a doubt, you are poised to succeed. Not only because of who you are, but because of whose you are.

So, buckle your seat belt and be prepared for an exciting and fulfilling journey. You will get to your desired destination once you don’t abandon the journey when faced with challenges.

God is already at the finish line waiting for you. He knows that you have all that you need to succeed and succeed you will in Jesus name.

To your success!

Blessings,

Diann J. Wilson
