“In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
When challenges come our way, we can begin to doubt God’s promises towards us, complain and even fret a little, or we can practice an attitude of gratitude – we can be thankful.
Having an attitude of gratitude is not always easy, especially when you don’t see anything to be thankful about! But, we can learn how to be thankful to God in every situation, whether difficult or pleasant, because He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. Each day, we make the choice to believe that God is in control and He’s working all things together for our good!
God’s plan is perfect. He knows what He’s doing and He will not fail you. He will not go back on His word. He is and will be right there with you as you journey through life, leading you in victory!
Having an attitude of gratitude is also very beneficial for our health. It is helps us to maintain a healthy soul as being thankful causes us to release the anxieties and worries that we carry around and it helps to relieve our bodies from the physical effects of continued stress.
Being grateful is good for you. It says to your Heavenly Father “I trust you” and this is what He desires of His children.
So, let’s start practicing thankfulness today! Choose to believe God and stand on His word. In every situation and in all circumstances, give God thanks continually!
It’s time for a new attitude! An attitude of Gratitude!!!
