“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
So many times we pray and talk to God without any confidence whatsoever that our prayer is making a difference in the situation that we are praying about.
We pray because it is the correct thing to do, but we do not really expect to see changes in the situation. That, my friend, is a lack of confidence in your relationship with God.
God did all that He is ever going to do to establish relationship with us. He gave His only Son to ensure that we can call Him “Abba, Father”. He demonstrated His love on Calvary and then to seal His love upon us He gave the precious Holy Spirit to inhabit us.
And yet, we wonder when we pray if God is hearing us and if He cares about us…
Let us put those thoughts to rest from today. It is time for us to pray with confidence. Our heavenly Father is a God who answers prayers. There must be no doubt in our minds that when we open our mouths God opens His ears. Why? Because we are His children.
Without confidence your prayers would be weak and your faith would be small.
Build your confidence in prayer by studying and praying God’s word back to Him. He always watches over his word to perform it.
To your confidence!
