“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
Taking care of our health is a major challenge as it is easier to do the wrong thing than to make the right choices in life. But if we would stop for a moment and remember that it is our bodies, and so it is our responsibility to be healthy, then we would wise up and do what is necessary to stay in health.
We are so quick to judge others and even to complain about how others treat us, without realising that no one can treat us as badly as we treat ourselves.
We make such poor choices when it comes to us. We give the best of ourselves to others and save the worst for ourselves. Ouch!!
The Bible teaches us to love others as we love ourselves. Would you show some love to you by beginning to take care of you?
Would you stop demanding respect from others and start respecting yourself?
Show by the choices you make from today that you really value you. Stop eating those things that you know are killing you, but you eat them anyway because they taste good. Stop drinking those things that are destroying your health because they are accessible and cheaper.
Start loving you by making wise choices, one at a time. You will reap great benefits if you start today.
Remember that the longest journey starts with the first step. Take that step today and start taking care of God’s temple, which is your body.
To your health!!!
