Your Word for This Day: “Great is our Lord!”

“Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5psalm-147-5

Recently, I went to see the movie Miracles from Heaven. It is a true story about a young girl who suddenly became very sick and no one knew why. Her parents pressed through many obstacles to look for an answer and when they did, it was not what they were hoping for – their daughter had an incurable intestinal disease.

Throughout the movie, the family went on an emotional and financial roller-coaster, and in the end, we saw God come through with healing in a powerful way.

When I read today’s Bible verse, I was reminded of this movie, and how I’ve seen God come through for me in my own life.

I’m sure that when you think of the things that God has done in your own life and what He has brought you through, you can join me in proclaiming Great is our Lord! For He is great and mighty in power!”

The God that we serve is great and powerful. He can do all things. There is nothing too hard for Him to do! And He has proved that over and over in the lives of His children.
And, added to that, His understanding is infinite. He knows and understands what is happening in every aspect of your life and He is orchestrating all things to work out for your good and for His glory!

Even when we don’t understand what is happening, we can trust Him, because He is in control. That’s why He really deserves our praise today and every day.

So, here’s the praise prompt for today:

“Today, I praise You Lord for You have been a ______________________ to me. I thank You for ________________________________.”

Take a moment and really think of why you are praising God and let your words flow from a place of gratitude in your heart!

Let your praise rise today to the only One who is truly deserving of it! Great is our Lord!

Blessings!!

Michelle
