Your Word for This Day: “Blessed Am I”

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

“Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.” Psalm 84:4-5

Blessed are those who dwell in God’s house, they will still be praising Him. Look at that! When you dwell in the presence of the Lord, you still praise the Lord. No matter what you are experiencing in life, what difficulties face you, or what challenges have come up in your way – you are empowered to still praise the Lord! In God’s presence you find every reason why you should not give up your praise and become depressed!

As David declares in Psalm 16, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”  The presence of the Lord is the place to be!

Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. Our true strength is found in God. In Him, we are empowered to triumph in the situations of life and to dance in the storm. Our strength cannot be found in our finances, our intellect, our friends or even in our health, for at times these will fail us. But, God is constant. He is unchangeable. He is unshakable. He is forever the same. And, His word is forever settled in the heaven. He does not change His mind, nor go back on His promise. He is faithful!

As we find our strength in God, we realize that everything in life is transitionary, we are on a journey. We are changing, we are growing, we are becoming, and as God’s children, we are moving forward towards that day when we see Him face to face. That’s why we can’t let our situations determine our praise. God deserves our very best.

Today, I declare that we are strong in the Lord. I declare that our hope and trust is in the name of the Lord and that we are still praising Him. We will not be encumbered with the things of this world that will pass away. I declare that our priorities are in the right order, and we have correct alignment in our lives. I declare over your life that you are coming into greater focus, your eyes are fixed on Christ and you are determined to push through, press through and possess all that He has made available to you!

This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We will still praise our God because He is with us and His presence gives us strength. Our God is a great God!
