Your Word for This Day: “Fully Persuaded”

“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” Romans 4:20-21

In the time that we are living in, it is not enough to stand on “maybe”, “perhaps” or “it just might be”. We must arrive at “fully persuaded“.

To be fully persuaded is to be totally convinced of something and today, we are talking about the faithfulness of God.

In my own life, I have had to challenge myself to not only declare that God is faithful, but also to act like I actually believe it… giving thanks in difficult situations and choosing not to complain about things I don’t understand. And, I’m sure that I’m not the only one!

To remain faithful to God, especially during difficult times, we must remind ourselves how great His faithfulness is and continually feed our minds and our hearts with His truth. If we don’t stand on God’s word, you and I are guaranteed to fall. His great love for us must spur us on to be faithful – totally convinced of His faithfulness and totally committed to our God.

If Jesus did not have disciples that were faithful to the cause, then we would have no Bible to preach from and no examples to follow. Through all that they suffered, they remained faithful to the cause of Christ.  They arrived at “fully persuaded” and that enabled them to be faithful to God, even unto death.

Are we fully persuaded?  Are we faithful to the end?  Can God depend on us to suffer for His cause?

This week let us continue to search our hearts with the Holy Spirit’s help.  Let Him help us to upgrade our faithfulness so that we can go to the next level of productivity and fruitfulness in God’s service. Where there is no faithfulness, there is no productiveness.

Will you receive this download from God and allow it to upgrade your internal operating system? I pray that we all will so that we could bring glory to our Heavenly Father.

Blessings,

Michelle

  1. Reblogged this on Call to Witness and commented:
It is our trust in God’s promises that compel us to continue on in His program. Anything less than this is not enough to persevere in the face of opposition towards the One whom we believe. We must ask ourselves if we trust God in every aspect in our lives. If not, what is it we are holding back? We must be persuaded completely that the Lord will take care of us completely, otherwise it is not faith at all but a shallow appearance of it.

  2. Awesome reminder that we are to be steadfast and avoid being double minded as we walk in the Lord! Our act of Faith is knowing for sure that his Word is truth and will never return void! I asked myself that question tonight and I have no other choice but to be fully persuaded!!

    • Hi Chanel! That’s the beauty of the word of God. It continues to remind us that without faith it’s impossible to please Our heavenly Father. It’s soooo important to be single-minded if we are to see fruit in our lives. Thanks for reading and commenting. Blessings to you!
