Your Word for This Day: “Faithful to My Faith”

Monday, June 20, 2016

“For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Timothy 1:12

There are so many people who believe that there are more than one way to get to God.  Some of them are so convinced in what they believe that at times they can cause a child of God to wonder and question his faith.

Have you ever had that experience?

How persuaded are you in your Faith?

Now if your Faith is a doctrine then it would be easy for someone with a different and more convincing doctrine to sway you.  If, however, your Faith is a person, then nothing anyone else says would get you to change what you believe.

The Apostle Paul’s Faith was a person.  The person of Jesus Christ. And, because he had had an encounter with this person on the road to Damascus, he remained faithful to his Faith.

We all know that Paul suffered much for his Faith.  Why would one man be so convinced that this Faith was worth suffering for?  The answer is simple.  Paul had met ‘The God’.  The God of his Faith.   Paul was no longer teaching about doctrines, he was sharing about The God.  And The God was worth it all.

How persuaded are you?

Have you met The God of your Faith?

Remember that God cannot change and so if your Faith is God, then your Faith cannot change.  It is unshakeable, immovable, unchangeable and unstoppable.  That is who God is and He is your Faith.

Today is a good time to check if your Faith is God and God is your Faith or if your Faith is a doctrine that someone taught you. What you discover will be the deciding factor to whether or not you can be persuaded by others with different ideologies and doctrines.

Your faith must be God, not just in God, but totally God.  This is what kept Apostle Paul and this is what will keep you faithful to your Faith.

Whatever you may experience in this life, you will know whom you believe and trust in.  Doctrines change as the world changes, but God never changes.

To your upgraded faithfulness to your FAITH!!!

Blessings
