“Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17
As we continue to serve Christ and upgrade our actions in the advancing of the Kingdom of God,we must pay attention to our faithfulness to the ones that God has gifted and established in His church to watch over our souls – our leaders.
So many times we display great faithfulness to God through our prayers and fasting and other acts of service, while disregarding our leaders.
We are more faithful to criticize them than to bless them. We are quick to discuss their faults publicly and to show our displeasure for the things that we think they are not doing right.
The Bible is clear in its instructions that we are to pray for and support our leaders. Our leaders are men just like us, and they would make mistakes, just like us. Isn’t it amazing how we are easy on ourselves when it comes to our mistakes, but harsh on others? We use two different standards. A more understandable one for ourselves and a more criticizing one for others.
Let us, as we upgrade our faithfulness, work on being faithful in thoughts, words and actions to our leaders.
Let us show God how much we appreciate Him by appreciating those who He has placed over us in the Kingdom.
Our desire is to hear God say; ”Well done, good and faithful servant.”
One of the things that would make Him say that to us is the way we treat His servants, our leaders.
Commit to being faithful to those in authority over you. Commit to building them up and not pulling them down. Commit to encourage and not criticize. Commit to praise and bless, not to murmur and complain.
Remember that whatever you give to your leader, is what you will receive in return. It’s the law of sowing and reaping. Let’s sow faithfulness to our leaders so that we will reap faithfulness for ourselves.
It’s guaranteed to work.
To your upgraded faithfulness to your leader!!!! Expect to be blessed in return.
