Your Word for This Day: “Are you Available?”

Friday, July 29, 2016

“For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

It takes a T.E.A.M. to make a dream a reality!

T – Togetherness         E – Engagement          A – Availability           M – Motivation

The A in TEAM is for Availability. For a team to work, the members must be available.

We must be available physically – showing up when we said we would be there.

We must be available emotionally and mentally. When we show up – we must be present. That means that “all of me” is involved, and ready to be engaged.

We must be available spiritually – Because we are invested in the success of the group we are willing to take the time to pray about whatever we are working towards and rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us in all truth.

When it comes to working together to achieve a goal or accomplish a task, each member’s presence is necessary – each contribution is important and the different perspectives can bring an important balance to the group.

As we work together in teams, God gives us many opportunities to serve others, learn new ways of doing things and achieve more than we could ever achieve working by ourselves.

We are God’s workers.
We partner with Him to fulfill His purposes in the earth.

And to do so, we must be available to serve Him and to serve others in whatever capacity He has assigned to us. As part of the Body of Christ, we need to work together. What you carry – your skills, talents, resources and experiences are needed and are designed to function in unity with what others in the Body carry. God has designed it that way. It’s a perfect strategy.

Always remember, we are stronger together.
