“Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22
Before partaking of the blood of Jesus, we were not able to accurately discern right from wrong. We had a limited knowledge or awareness of morality. We learned right from wrong from those around us, maybe parents, friends, teachers or other leaders.
However, when we come into a knowledge of Christ through the atoning work of His blood, our consciences are purified to such an extent that we can no longer say that we do not know right from wrong. Something inside of us is quickened and we become sensitive to the prompting of the Lord concerning our behavior, attitudes and actions.
We are no longer slaves to sin.
Yes, we do still have the ability to ignore the prompting and go about our business and do what we please. That, however, does not negate the fact that having partaken of the blood of the Lamb, our consciences are more alert to what pleases God and what does not.
For those who would choose to obey such promptings, we would find ourselves progressing daily in the things that bring pleasure and glory to God. We would find that we are no longer slaves to our feelings, our ungodly desires and passions and behaviours that hurt the heart of God and sabotage our destinies. The blood of Jesus cleanses our consciences and we are able to freely worship God in spirit and in truth.
Are you enjoying that kind of intimacy with Him? Is your worship at its peak?
Do you desire a depth of worship that transports you into the holy presence of God almost immediately?
Then this is your answer. The blood is your answer. Remember that the blood makes wrong things right. Your victory is in the blood. The blood has given you the power to overcome every self-sabotaging thought and behaviour. Use the blood and enter boldly into the presence of God with a washed and approved conscience.
Would you be free from your passion and pride? There is power in the blood.
