Your Word for This Day: “He Restores”

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

restores

Our Shepherd is the best restorer.   He specializes in the restoration of His children.

To restore means to bring back or return to its original state.  It is like refurbishing a piece of furniture back to its original condition.

Jesus Christ, our Shepherd, restores us back to our original condition.  Although He loves us just as we are, He loves us too much to leave us the way that we are.

Many of us are discouraged and frustrated with our lives and our individual circumstances.  We are barely hanging on to the Word of God and to the promises that we read in the Scriptures.  Life has been hard and has drained us of our excitement and enjoyment of our spiritual journey.

Jesus understands.  He knows, and He will restore.

He will bring us back to our original place if we would just trust Him and cast all our cares upon Him.

He is our burden-bearer. All the battles we face are really His if we would give them over to Him.  He has never lost one battle.

  • Are you tired?   Let the Good Shepherd re-energise you.
  • Are you weary?  Let the Good Shepherd revive you.
  • Are you discouraged?  Let the Good Shepherd refresh you.
  • Are you burdened?   Let the Good Shepherd release you from your cares.

Let the Good Shepherd restore you to your original state – the peaceful, victorious state that He purchased for you with His blood.

Today’s Affirmation:

I will no longer carry my burdens. I cast them all on the Good Shepherd and allow Him to restore to me my blessed life in Christ.
