Your Word for This Day: “Soul-Fix”

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

In the life of most believers, all of the emphasis is on the spirit of man.  I understand that as children of God we are regenerated and the spirit part of our make-up is the most important.

But, there is also another part of us that needs attention and must also be brought into alignment with the will of God… and that part is the soul.

The soul is a very important part of the human experience on the earth. When God breathed into man, as we read in the Genesis 2, man became a living soul.

The soul is the part of man that involves his emotions, intelligence, personality, moods and the like.  When we are hurt or experience any kind of negativity, it is our souls that are damaged.

Our Shepherd knows that, and so, He takes the time to fix our souls. He knows that if our souls are in disarray, then we cannot worship Him as we ought to.

The Shepherd is concerned with every part of our existence for we are His workmanship.  He fixes our spirits, our souls and our bodies.

Here, His emphasis is on our souls.  He wants our souls to prosper so that our bodies can be whole.

Our Shepherd takes the time to put our souls back into the condition that He desires them to be.  He makes our souls well.  He fixes our emotions and cleanses our thoughts, so that we can think and act pure.

Today’s affirmation:

I send out positive thoughts of love and peace to everyone for my soul is restored and anchored in God.
