Your Word for This Day: “A Working Kind of Faith!”

You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.” James 2:22 NLT

Good old Abraham. A man loved by God, who had a promise, and believed God. We read the account of Abraham’s life and we marvel at his faith and God’s faithfulness, but do you know that you have a story to tell as well? Do you know that your life is a testimony?  What are you proclaiming?

To live the life that God has designed for you, you must believe, and you must do. You must act out your faith. Action makes your faith complete. You must take the step, even if you don’t see the whole staircase.

My friends, if you’re not putting your business plan together,  if you’re not preparing the nursery, if you are not developing your skills, if you are making 101 excuses as to why you can’t start, if you are not willing to sacrifice TV time, if you did not write your resume, if you are not doing something, besides praying, when God has spoken to you concerning a specific promise in His word, may I suggest that you may not really believe God’s word to you.

Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works (James 2:26). There is something that you can do right now to make your faith complete. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you move forward! The time is now! Do not delay!
