Your Word for This Day: “Stand Strong in Faith”

Monday, February 27, 2017

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”  Romans 4:20-21 NLT

God wants you to be alive—fully engaged in living the life that He has designed for you and becoming who He has created you to be. This is possible when we believe the word of God and be firmly convinced that God will do what He has promised.

As we are reminded daily, This life is a life of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Without faith we cannot see and enter into the great future God has for us. Without faith, we cannot we will never be able to achieve our destiny and bring glory to God. But, with faith ALL things are possible.

I have found that there are two major parasites that eat away at our faith: time and negative voices. Let’s look at time today. Time is a major challenge for many believers. We hear the word of the Lord concerning us, but when it takes longer than we had expected, we begin to doubt. “Is this promise for me?” “Did I really hear God?”  The enemy wants you to doubt God and His word. He’s after your faith, because the victorious life in Christ is based on faith.

Time cannot erode the promise of God.

Time serves God’s purposes.

God is working, even when we think that nothing is happening.

Abraham believed God and received the promise, let this be our example to stand strong in faith and press until we receive our promise. God is faithful and He is able and will do what He has spoken!
