Your Word for This Day: “Its Working for My Good!”

Monday, June 19, 2017

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28

As we journey through life, we will encounter different seasons. There will be seasons of great joy and there will be difficult seasons, where we will experience pain and sorrow.       In the midst of the difficult seasons, we must try to keep our faith thermometer at a level that is consistent and, we are only able to do this as we understand who God is and appreciate what He has done for us on Calvary.

Nothing that we would go through can be compared to what Jesus Christ went through for us on the Cross.  He who knew no sin became sin for us so that we could inherit the Kingdom of God. He allowed men to spit on Him and abuse Him to the fullest so that he can redeem us from the clutches of the enemy.

God will not allow us to go through difficult times that are too much for us to handle.  He is a very fair God and we can trust His love for us.  Through the times of testing we may not understand what is happening and why it is happening, but knowing our God helps us to successfully hold on to the anchor of our souls.

When we understand that everything that happens must be permitted by God, it gives us greater courage and strength to keep going on. We can sincerely believe that all the things, good and bad, work together for our good. If we believe that God’s word is true and our trouble will work out for our good, we will become better and not bitter persons and we will be able to move forward victoriously into all that God has prepared for us.
